Call for Submissions – All Voices Count: Advancing Democratic Engagement

This special issue of the eJournal of Public Affairs emerges from the scholarship and professional practices shared at the 2019 Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement (CLDE) meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and in anticipation of the work that will be shared at the 2020 CLDE meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We invite manuscripts for review, including those presented at the 2019 CLDE meeting and program proposals that will be submitted for the upcoming 2020 CLDE meeting. This meeting is organized by AASCU’s American Democracy Project (ADP) and NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and focuses on the work of higher education in advancing civic learning and democratic engagement.

We are seeking submissions based on research, projects and approaches related to advancing democratic engagement. We welcome a wide range of submissions, such as articles, research notes, descriptive essays, videos, interviews, photo essays, artwork, podcasts and other multimedia. Along with scholarly work, we also welcome commentary from students, community partners, faculty and others.
