Call for Nominations: 2017 Ehrlich Civically Engaged Faculty Award

Recognizing excellence in engaged teaching and scholarship.

Campus Compact’s Thomas Ehrlich Civically Engaged Faculty Award recognizes one senior faculty member (post-tenure or middle-to-late career if not in a tenure line) each year. Honorees (who must be affiliated with a Campus Compact member institution) are recognized for exemplary engaged scholarship, including leadership in advancing students’ civic learning, conducting community-based research, fostering reciprocal community partnerships, building institutional commitments to service-learning and civic engagement, and other means of enhancing higher education’s contributions to the public good.

The recipient and finalists will be announced in early fall 2017 and will be honored at Campus Compact’s National Conference in March 2018.

In addition, the winner will receive a $2,000 award. More information about the award and application guidelines can be found here.

Nominations will be accepted here until 11:59 PM EDT on June 6, 2017.

ADP Query: Campus Civic Engagement Awards

In order to recognize the growing number of ADP/AASCU campuses that recognize and reward the civic engagement efforts of various campus stakeholders, we’ve created a short Civic Engagement Awards Survey.

Complete our brief survey here.

The survey provides an opportunity to acknowledge ADP campuses, faculty, staff, and students who were recognized with regional, state, or national awards for their dedication to civic engagement over the past year. ADP will recognize recipients of awards during our ADP Organizing Meeting on Thursday, June 8th from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the 2017 Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement Meeting in Baltimore, Md. Learn more and register here: http://www.aascu.org/meetings/clde17/

ADP will also be developing a campus awards resource page on our website: http://www.aascu.org/programs/adp/awards/. Be sure to nominate qualified candidates for our annual ADP BurchPlater and Saltmarsh awards by March 31st!

Please provide as much detail as possible about the awards, include URLs and email any other materials (e.g., pdf documents) that might be helpful to adp@aascu.org.

Thank you in advance for completing ADP’s Civic Engagement Awards Survey.
