Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Coordinator in the Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE).
Salisbury University, an active ADP member, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 58 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Located on the historic Eastern Shore, SU’s beautiful campus is some 30 miles from the Atlantic beaches and 2.5 hours from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
Primary Job Duties: Coordinate the daily operations of the Institute for the Public Affairs and Civic Engagement (PACE) program. Assist PACE leadership and members of the academic and broader community to coordinate, support and further develop PACE programming. Coordinate and organize events open to the academic and broader community, create promotional material and prepare reports as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, nonprofit management, political science or related field and 1-3 years of related experience. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills, student counseling and customer service; organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
