9/11: Resources for Remembering

Here at the American Democracy Project, we, just like so many others are doing today, are taking a moment to pause and reflect on the event that changed our nation 12 years ago today.

We encourage you to do the same.

For more on today’s anniversary, check out the top stories showing up on Google:

And be sure to pay a visit to 9/, where you can access a variety of resources to commemorate the day.

A special thank you to those serving our country and to all of those who have given their lives for it.

“Remember the hours after September 11th when we came together as one to answer the attack against our homeland. We drew strength when our firefighters ran upstairs and risked their lives so that others might live; when rescuers rushed into smoke and fire at the Pentagon; when the men and women of Flight 93 sacrificed themselves to save our nation’s Capitol; when flags were hanging from front porches all across America, and strangers became friends. It was the worst day we have ever seen, but it brought out the best in all of us.”

-Secretary of State John Kerry
