In celebration of our planet, today we are sharing this article from The Wall Street Journal with you.

Johnson Controls, a global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, has just released its Top Earth Day Champions in Education list to highlight higher education institutions in the United States that saved the carbon equivalent of 91,800 acres of forest through energy efficiency and renewable energy projects at their facilities.

At the top of the list are the following five schools (Missouri State University is an ADP Campus, and Lone Star College is Democracy Commitment member):

  1. University of  Massachusetts Amherst  (Amherst, Mass.)
  2. Missouri State  University  (Springfield, Mo.)
  3. Lone Star College  (Houston, Texas)
  4. Youngstown State  University (Youngstown,  Ohio)
  5. Tulane University (New  Orleans, La.)
