Calling All Civically Engaged Creatives
The MacArthur Foundation and Illinois Humanities Council are sponsoring a national competition for creative media pieces about strengthening American democracy with $100,000 in prize money to be awarded in May.
The institutions are looking for short, provocative media submissions designed to spark a national conversation about how we can all come together to strengthen American democracy.
If you are an independent media maker, investigative reporter, student, graphic designer, artist–or anyone with creative ideas to help engage Americans and shift the political discussion in a fresh and engaging way–then use your creativity to share your vision of how to make government work to improve our nation, our communities, and our lives.
Submissions are due by April 30th, 2013.
